A few new AAA PC games have already been released through March. Devil May Cry 5, Tom Clancy’s The Divison 2, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice were received well across avid PC gamers. The next few months are proving to bring back a number of titles we’re familiar with. No matter the system you prefer to play on, you’re in for a treat, especially our Friendly PC gamers. These are our most anticipated upcoming games of 2019.
April
Mortal Kombat 11
New super-powered moves, a meter system allowing harder hitting attacks near the end of your health bar and bloodier signature “fatality” finishing moves have been teased by NetherRealm Studios.
Mortal Kombat 11 increases player difficulty with a greater focus on character positioning and long combos of attacks instead of quick powerful blows. Players craving a challenge to hit complicated moves with precise timing will be drawn to this over-the-top fighting action game.
Days Gone
Missing its original 2018 release, Days Gone is expected to be the biggest release this April. This zombie survival-horror game boasts large open world game-play across forests, caves, icy tundras and lava fields. Each environment will have interactive aspects that players can use to keep the hordes at bay.
The undead, given the moniker “freakers”, differ themselves from most recent zombie games as well. They’re quick and their numbers may change by the time of day. If Days Gone sticks to zombie lore nightfall may bring a greater challenge to player’s survival skills.
August
Shenmue III
A cult favorite. Thought to have been put to rest, the efforts of diehard fans and crowdfunding brought this title back. Shenmue, the first of the series, is often pointed to as the first “open-world” game with a level of freedom in your preferred method of gameplay that hadn’t been seen before. Shenmue III will continue the story of Ryo Hazuki and his journey from boyhood to manhood. The question is: Will Ryo finally solve the mystery of the mirrors?

Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Ori and the Blind Forest, its predecessor, is arguably one of our favorite games found on Xbox. Moon studios created a deeply emotional world with a solid foundation of whimsy, which has become a classic of Metroidvania platformer games.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is looking to be even more beautiful and eye-catching with its detailed art style. New combat and traversal tools have been shown, leaving players scratching their heads to figure out the quickest ways to the next ledge.
There are plenty of worlds to visit, enemies to conquer and puzzles to solve. Now is the perfect time to upgrade your gaming PC to prepare for this new collection of games being released. Stop by our FriendlyPC storefront to find out exactly how we can help you build the best PC gaming experience.
